Landon Davis Havard turned 2 on June 14! Yay Landon! We are so proud of him and how far he's come in the last 2 years. At his 2 year check up, he weighed 25 lbs. and was 33 3/4 inches tall....that's a long way from 2 lbs. and 14 1/2 inches :)

Since his birthday was on a Tuesday this year, we celebrated all week long. We had plenty of Popsicles to beat the heat.

Unfortunately he also got his first brain freeze, poor guy it was awful. He took a big bite of Popsicle and then got the most pitiful look on his face, like he couldn't understand what was happening. Thank goodness he bounced back right away and was ready for the next Popsicle.

Landon is quite the cook, he even helped me make his birthday cake. And, had plenty of fun licking the beaters!

This year during the "Happy Birthday" song, he understood that all the fuss was about him.....and he loved it!

He even clapped for himself :)

He ate the entire piece of cake and licked his fingers clean.

Someones even eating with utensils these days!
Grammie and
Grandpy came to visit for Landon's special day. Landon enjoyed trying on
Grandpy's hat.

And playing with
Grandpy in the pool!

I wanted to make a special cake for Landon this year and since he's obsessed with cars and trucks, I thought I'd follow that theme. I Googled a bunch of car/truck cakes and let him pick which one he wanted. He chose the Bulldozer!

Eating lunch at his new picnic table.

We had his family party on Saturday. He loved everyone serenading "Happy Birthday" to him!

Since the weather here is almost unbearably hot, we had a swim party, complete with pool and slip n' slide. It was the perfect way to celebrate and stay cool! Fun times with Uncle Steve!

The day was very long and he was beat by the time all his guests left. So, we waited until the next morning to open presents. Here he is playing with his new musical instruments.

It was a wonderful week for an awesome kid! So smart, strong and healthy, everything we could have asked for in a son ;)
