Fire Truck

Landon got this fire truck for his birthday and it has been one of his favorite toys. However back in June when he got it, he was too small to ride it. Now, just a couple months later, he enjoys pushing it around the house, playing the sirens and riding it like a "big boy."
It's amazing how many changes he's gone through just in a short time. Every day is a new adventure. He is now a proficient crawler and cruiser....walking is right around the corner!

Play Group

I signed Landon up for a play group to give him the opportunity to play and bond with kids his own age. Today was our first play date. We had six 1 & 2 year olds over to our house, with lots of toys and snacks to entertain them. It went wonderfully! We can't wait for the next one!

Zilker Park

Thank goodness for hurricane season. I know it's horrible to say for all those who live near the coast, but for us here in Austin, the hurricanes bring cool breezes, a drop in temperature and some much needed rain. We took advantage of the cool weather to take a stroll through Zilker Park.

Silly Daddy

TRUCKS!

Landon's obsession with all things cars/trucks/wheels has extended outside...to the real thing. We were walking Scott outside as he was leaving for work, when Landon got a good look at his truck. He was hooked!
He examined every inch of this tire! It was 6pm in the evening, almost bedtime. So, I figured I'd take him straight to the bath tub when we went inside...because he was filthy! Landon and his truck, next to Daddy's truck.
Trying to examine the underneath of Daddy's truck....
.....not a good idea.
Daddy's off to work.
Landon's not thrilled his real-live "toy" left him behind...
...and expressing his feelings about it!
All better now, found something else to capture his attention.
Straight to the tub for the filthy ragga-muffin ;)

Children's Museum

Since Scott had the day off yesterday, we decided to take a family outing. I'd heard good things about the New Braunfels Children's Museum, so we headed south. A great activity for a dreary, rainy day. As some of you know, Landon is OBSESSED with wheels and anything a wheel is attached to...a car, truck, bike, stroller, etc....
...so once we got Landon pried away from the wheels on our stroller, we checked out the many awesome exhibits the museum had. The hospital.
The grocery store, complete with carts, produce, frozen food section, bakery and check out stand!
Of course, Daddy taught Landon how to drive the ambulance with lights and sirens blazing!
He was absolutely fascinated by the mechanical/tool section. He and Daddy played with these interlocking magnetic wheels for ever!
I don't think he was too impressed with the horses.
He stayed at the radio for a long time pushing buttons and turning knobs.
More wheels....of course he loved the trains!

I'm crawling!

Landon is officially crawling and cruising along furniture! This is so exciting! We have waited so long for this milestone. Landon is a very curious, busy, strong-willed and independent young man (hence his early entry into the world); therefore, he has been eagerly waiting to be mobile!
He has been so much happier and more content being able to explore on his own.
One of his favorite things to do is crawl through the house, "zooming" his trucks. It doesn't matter if they are big or small, he scoots around the whole downstairs happy as a clam!
Landon is all boy-obsessed with cars, trucks and wheels. He is definitely his father's son!

chillin' at home

We love hangin' at home as a family, what a great past-time.
Landon "wearing" most of his dinner on his face... ...and he's really excited about it! He loves being on Mommy and Daddy's shoulders.
Landon is "SO BIG!"
Daddy taught Landon how to "high five!"

Fun vs. Function

These days, exersaucers aren't for bouncing in....
....they're for hiding under.
Swings aren't for gliding in... ....they're for resting under.

Visit to Dallas

Another visit to Dallas brought great fun with family.
Landon cruised around Uncle Steve's new pad in Denton.
We hung out with our Foust cousins in McKinney. Landon got to bond with his cousins Connor and Zach.
Hangin' with Dad at the Anderson house.
3 generations of Havard men, Landon, Papa, Dad.
