San Diego Continued!

We're finally home from our 3 week adventure in California, we had a great time! But, it's great to be home in our own beds. A crew that once started out out as 6 small kids from 2 families, has now grown to include 4 spouses and 2 new kids! Above is this year's crew. Myself, Scott and Landon, my 2 brothers Steve and Brian, as well as the other family: Debbie, her husband Adam, their son Lincoln, Debbie's sister Darcy and husband Anthony (third sister Dana and husband Adam were sorely missed!)
Here's the Gottlieb/Havard family-rosy red and tan from 2 weeks on the beach!
This is how the crew spends most of their time-playing card games on the patio. These aren't just any friendly card games, these are intense, competitive rounds of cards! Watch out!
Mommy and Daddy getting an afternoon away while Grammie babysits :)
For some reason, Landon loved to roll around in the sand....not just his body, his head and face too! Baths at the end of the day weren't fun, it required a thorough scrubbing to get all the sand out of ears, nose and hair!
One afternoon we took a boat ride down the coast of San Diego. We saw lots of seals, seagulls and destroyer ships! (The naval base is right off the coast). We even saw the ship that tossed Osama Bin Laden's body in the ocean!

Landon stopping to smell the flowers.
This is Landon and Lincoln, the other little boy we shared our beach house with. The 2 are only 10 months apart, but the same size! Lincoln was so cute and curious of everything Landon did. Unfortunately, Landon interpreted that as Lincoln invading his personal space :( It was an intense lesson in sharing for Landon!
Debbie was so generous and thoughtful, she got the boys matching PJ's. They looked adorable running around the house together! I don't know when we'll get to share San Diego time with the Derickson family again, but we'll be looking forward to it. Good times had by all!
