Our first year as parents, we decided to get Landon a gift that would not only be entertaining for him (and for us), but one that was also beneficial to his physical and mental development. We picked something practical and within our budget....an exersaucer. A toy he sits in that allows him to bear weight on his legs while reaching for a variety of toys. Perfect we thought, he will have fun playing and we'll have a free 10 minutes to make dinner or take a shower!

Unfortunately, this was his initial reaction.

How crushing! Our first major present to our son is a disappointment. Well, I wasn't going to let it end there. I was determined for Landon to love his Christmas present. I place him in the exersaucer at least once a day. Each time he stays in longer and enjoys it a bit more.

He hates tummy time, but will stand up for ever if you'll hold him there. Now we don't have to hold him, he stands here!
