The good life

Things have been good around here.  The weather is cooling down, we've had lots of family time, the kids are growing and happy...I can't complain...neither can "Thug Landon."
Phoebe found a new friend, Felicia.  Actually, an old friend.  Phoebe is obsessed with the dogs, when ever they're in the room she has all eyes on them.  She loves sitting next to them and grabbing fist-fulls of hair.  Felicia is always so patient with her and even returned some love this time.
 I can't get enough of this cheeky-monkey...
...And she can't get enough of her big brother!  She loves him so much and always wants to be hear him.  Landon is a good big brother and indulges her often.
 Did I mention, Phoebe's a rock star?
Phoebe had her first Popsicle the other day and LOVED it!  She gripped that thing with two hands and devoured it until it was gone.  It was hilarious to watch and even more funny to see her green stained face after it was over.
We've got a ranch right down the road from our house with horses, donkeys and cows.  When we go for walks, I bring carrots on the off chance we'll see some animals by the fence.  This night we struck gold!  There were several horses by the fence and Landon fed and pet them all.  He was pretty excited!

Lately

Last weekend we went to the Cowtown Vintage Car Show in downtown Fort Worth.  It was awesome, we saw so many cool cars...like this smokin' hot Mustang Scott's checking out.  He and Landon were in heaven!
Main Street was closed down and the cars were parked all along the road.  The weather was perfect, it's so exciting to feel Fall coming!  It made walking around so much more enjoyable.
Landon definitely enjoyed seeing the cars, he is his father's son!
Big girl Phoebe sitting in the stroller, more concerned with her toys than the cars.

The cooler weather has allowed us to have park days again!
Landon definitely enjoys getting out of the house and burning off some energy.
And Phoebe is big enough to enjoy the outdoors too!

Landon's first big boy bike!  He was thrilled to get a real bike and we are so proud that he can ride so well!

Happy girl!  She is loving that she can sit up on her own now to play with toys and watch Landon.
Guess who's big enough to sit in the front of the shopping cart?!

More Vacation Pics

Sorry, I'm having technical difficulties...some of the pictures here are also in the slideshow below...and they're completely out of order...but at least there here!

South Carolina Vacay

These are way over due!  And, there are more to come...but, here's the first half of our trip to Isle of Palms, South Carolina.  It was an amazing vacation/family reunion with my mom's side of the family.  We had 25 adults and 7 kids in a 10 bedroom house on the beach!

Kid pics

I can't get enough of this girl!  To say I'm smitten, is an understatement. Which is why I have to post so many pictures of her cuteness.
I love the fact that her little brain is soaking up everything in her environment like a sponge.  You can practically see the wheels turning here as she intensely checks out this doll I hung in her crib.  She sat there focused on that doll for 15 minutes straight!
 More cuteness :)
La Reina High School is my Alma Mater.  Perhaps Phoebe will be a future Regent??
Phoebe is getting tons of love, but no more or less than her awesome big brother...
...except for when he's being a silly rabbit ;)

The boys

Landon and Daddy have been best buds lately.   Daddy wanted to take Landon to Fuddrucker's for some great burgers.....but Landon ordered a salad!  My little healthy eater :)
Landon's favorite play time with Daddy is pretending to be scared of "The Claw."  I say pretending, because he usually ASKS for "The Claw" and then pretends to hide behind me to get away from Dad.
He doesn't hide for too long, before retaliating with "The Blade!"

3 Amigos

Now that I have my two little homies, I'm always trying to get a good picture of us.  (No offense intended to Dad here, he's usually taking the pictures :)
These days Landon practically refuses to look at the camera, if he is looking at the camera, he's making a silly face rather than smiling.
And poor Phoebe just doesn't know what to make of the whole situation!
Landon is very loving with his sister and is always asking for hugs.
So of course I want to document these loving moments.
 For some reason....
...the pictures don't quite capture the love :)
